2021/22 Pharmacist Employment Remuneration Survey now open

Professional Pharmacists Australia is excited to announce the opening of the 2021/22 Pharmacy Remuneration and Employment survey. The biennial survey is open to pharmacists across Australia and will gather the most up-to-date information on community pharmacy remuneration and employment conditions.

The data collected in the survey will be used to form the basis of the 2021/22 Pharmacists Employment and Remuneration Report. The report analyses the salaries and working conditions for Australia’s community pharmacy workforce - broken down by skill level, industry, years of experience, responsibility level, gender and more. With chapters focusing on the state of the pharmaceutical industry, pay rates and awards, penalty rates, employment conditions, and hours of work it paints a detailed picture of the actual needs of pharmacist employees.

Pharmacists play a critical role in helping ensure the best health outcomes for individuals and the community – now more than ever before - but over the past few years we have witnessed an erosion of recognition about the important role of pharmacists alongside a decline in pharmacists’ wages.

For every individual that completes the survey, Professional Pharmacists Australia will donate $1 to Pharmacist Support Services (PSS). For the last 26 years PSS has provided phone support to pharmacists in need. Click here to learn more about PSS. Help us help the profession!

The survey will close Sunday 26 September.
